Description: Formerly an actor and storyteller, now the author of hundreds of children's books, many of them for the under-sevens, Vivian French shares her experience of writing for young children. A teacher at Edinburgh College of Art specialising in illustrated books for children, Vivian has written many articles on picture books and how they work, worked as a picture book consultant and was, for five years, the Guardian's reviewer of books for young children. Come and learn what works and what doesn't in this challenging market.
