Illustrators' day 2006: the art of picture book

Zoe Tucker (Scholastic),join other professionals from the children's book world to offer guidance and advice at the SCBWI-BI's fifth annual Illustrator Conference.
The day will feature talks on finding inspiration, approaching publishers, working with an art director, and a hands on creative workshop run by Jan Ormerod for both writers and illustrators. A limited number of portfolio reviews are bookable on sign up. All attendees will have the opportunity to gain feedback on their character designs, storyboards and book dummies via an open exhibition.
