Bridget Strevens-Marzo studied Chinese and Art history at Cambridge, translated books and copied museum paintings before she wrote and illustrated her first three picture books for Little Brown UK in the 1990s. She has earned a living working for children's book and magazine publishers across the world, from successful co-editions such as Margaret Wild's Kiss, Kiss! and the graphic French-originated Big Book for Little Hands bought by the Tate and shortlisted for the British Book Design Award, to books for the US such as How do You Make a Baby Smile? Now after 20 years, she is working directly again with British publishers. Mini Racer, written by Kristy Dempsey is due with Bloomsbury UK and US in early 2011.
Bridget also shares her love of illustrated books with her students at Parsons Paris School of Design, and as SCBWI international liaison, has co-run and spoken at Bologna and other international SCBWI conferences.
